Multiple media, one message.

Office of the Director of University Communications

The office of University Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers integrated, client-focused marketing, promotion, event planning, design and communications services to faculty, staff and organizations across UNL's campuses.

Our experienced communicators utilize a team approach when publicizing academic departments, individual faculty honors, conferences and special events at UNL. Our broadcast services division produces videos, public service announcements, video news releases and university image spots. The internet and interactive media team develops web content university wide, provides interactive media production, database development, and live or on-demand video and audio services. Our office of publications and photography provides a multitude of services, including graphic design, copy writing and editing, marketing and communications consultation, and portrait and special event photography. Our news department is responsible for connecting UNL stories and newsmakers with professionals in broadcast, print and other media. The news team also assists with event promotion and publicity, copywriting and editing, news release distribution, and produces the Scarlet newspaper and E-News weekly updates.

All of our teams work closely together, to help units within the university professionalize communications, in order to enhance UNL's reputation and promote the work of our people.
